Smoothie Recipes With Mushrooms

Mushrooms Are Nutritious Ingredients In Smoothie Recipes

Would you ever consider using mushrooms as part of healthy smoothie recipes?  This amazing little fungus benefits us in our quest for weight loss and provides important nutrients.  A low calorie option, one cup of mushrooms provides us with some unique vitamins and minerals.  The vitamins of niacin, pantothenic acid and riboflavin are present.  A single cup of raw, white mushrooms provides us with roughly 10 percent of our daily needs for both copper and selenium.

Selenium is a micronutrient needed by the body in small quantities.  Some of the health benefits regarding weight loss include helping the liver expel bodily fats and helping convert thyroid hormones to an active form thus ensuring the proper function of the thyroid gland.

Mushrooms have special qualities regarding blood vessels.  When our bodies are in an unhealthy state,  new blood vessels form to feed fat cells which grow and grow. Also, the disease of cancer forms its own blood vessels to feed itself.  A body in a state of bad health appears to maintain its conditions quite effectively.  Unless, we change the environment.  Enter the mushroom as an angiogenesis inhibitor.  They inhibit additional blood vessels from forming, thus thwarting the support of fat cell and cancer cell feeding.
